Duties

The Housekeeper/ Room Attendant cleaning guest rooms and/or suites in a timely and thorough manner to ensure guest satisfaction.

•Cleans the assigned number of rooms by shift to the hotel’s exacting standards.

•Makes beds, changes linens, cleans toilets, bathtubs, mirrors, floors, sinks, and windows.

•Ensures that rooms are cleaned to required quality standards.

•Smiles and is friendly when interacting with co-workers, guests and other property team members.

•Fosters a positive attitude among Team Members and treats guests and fellow Team Members with courtesy and respect.

•Follows all required safety and standard operating procedures.

•Adheres to all company and regulatory policies.

•Reports any wrongdoing to their Supervisor.

•Responsible for notifying their Supervisor of any repairs required of Housekeeping equipment such as vacuums, buffers, carts, and furniture.

•Acts as a role model to other Service Company employees.

•Works weekends and holidays.

•Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

•High School education or GED.

•Prior housekeeping, cleaning or customer service experience preferred.

•Prior experience in luxury hotels or resorts a plus but not a must.

•High level of attention to detail.

•Flexible with different shifts.

•Be able to communicate in Basic English effectively with others.

•Requires standing for extended periods, walking, pushing, kneeling or crouching.

•Must be able to reach overhead and below the knees; including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.

•Able to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 30 pounds without assistance.

•Able to pass a background check.

Physical Requirements

•Light work – Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.

•Stand, sit, or walk around for an extended period of time or for an entire work shift.

•Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping down.
